Day 30: Portomarin to Palas de Rei

Another hot day was forecast, so I wanted to get underway reasonably early down from my albergue in Portomarin...
... and back up again
Nice views...
... but lots of people. We have now been joined by peregrinos from some of the other pilgrimage routes, and by the 500-1000 per day new peregrinos just starting their walk
The feel of the Camino has changed a bit with the addition of so many people. It is more difficult to walk (or take a photo) without seeing someone, and the queues at the cafés can be diabolical
(yep, that queue has overflowed out the door, and is about 10-15 minutes long)

The path was largely, but not always,  alongside the road today...
A brand new building!
And more roads...
... but then a nice walk into Palas de Rei
The Iglesia de San Tirso...
Palas de Rei is perched on the side of a hill,  so after entering at the top, it was all downhill from there
