Day 32: Arzúa to O Pedrouzo

The forecast was for early morning rain, and sure enough early in the morning it was raining. I had plenty of time today, so I waited for it to stop. Except I didn't quite wait long enough, so poncho on (always tricky), walk in light rain for a while, then poncho off!
Today continued with up and down on wide forest paths. And since my accommodation last night was 3km further on than the 'standard' town to stop st, there were slightly fewer peregrinos around (once I passed a bunch leaving my town)
My albergue was at the west end of town, and the path out of Arzúa was a path not a road, so it was rather nice skipping the usual boring bit out of town

No doubt you're sick of all the photos of walks through the forest, but I like them (walks not photos), so...
Note the firebreaks between the stands of eucalyptus trees. Eucalyptus is particularly flammable because of the eucalyptus oil, as perhaps you'd expect
I passed this marker just before entering O Pedrouzo, so was it tempting to walk another 20km today straight into Santiago? Yes it was a little bit. But the easy walk tomorrow morning will be nice
I've noticed a distinct increase in the number of Camino souvenir shops...
...and the number of Camino tattoo shops...
...catering for the peregrinos. Everything's got just a little more touristy as we've got closer to Santiago. Except they're all closed today (Sunday), as are all the supermarkets. Only things open are the bar/cafés
