EOTW Day 2: Negreira to Santa Mariña

Same Pazo do Coton, different light
And for those who haven't seen a boots and poles line-up before, this is what it looks like. Most albergues get you to store boots and hiking poles outside the dormitories
Fog and more fog - it persisted most of the morning, giving quite an eerie feel through the forest paths, and stunning views back over the valley
Most of today was off-road, but again there was some walking on country roads
The moss and ferns were a bit reminiscent of NZ, but here the forest is a lot less dense
Chemtrails spread by a secret government agency...
... you do know I'm kidding, right? Right?

While I think of it, houses here are often named after the owner, rather than (or sometimes in addition to) the number
Daily colour...
The 🐄 cows look a bit miserable inside
At least they occasionally get to spend a bit of time outdoors in the shade. Lying in the mud...
I've changed plans for the next couple of days just to be sure of accommodation, so I'll have a long (30km) day tomorrow, followed by a short (15km) day on Saturday. And another long (30km) day on Sunday from Muxia to Finisterre

  1. Beautiful countryside. It looks like a reasonable number of people are also going to the end of earth.
